Columbiana – Ross W. Rose, 93, formerly of East Palestine, died Monday, October 5, 2015, at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mr. Rose was born January 1, 1922, in East Palestine, a son of the late William A. and Zetta I. Beight Rose and had lived in this area all of his life.
He had been employed as a burner for the former W. K. Stamets Company in Columbiana for 15 years, retiring in 1984. Ross had served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
His wife, the former, Helen L. Frederick, whom he married March 6, 1942, died April 1, 2011.
He is survived by four daughters, Sherry (Richard) Racz of Randleman, NC, Susan (John) Hoff of Cornelius, NC, Karen (James) Shank of Industry, PA, and Jody McCowin of Salem; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mae Herold, Eska Seidner, Betty Allshouse, and Mildred Rose.
Private graveside services will be held in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.
Arrangements were made by the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
