Orville K. Burbick, Jr

Leetonia – Orville K. Burbick, Jr., 80, of Leetonia, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the Inn at Glen Ellen, North Lima.

He was born December 29, 1936, in North Georgetown son of the late, Orville and Emma Brunner Burbick.

Junior was a graduate of Fairfield High School and worked many jobs during his life; he worked for Mellinger’s Nursery, Thompson Brothers Mining and Poling and Bacon. Most notably he worked as a farmer and even received the Ruritan Farmer of the Year Award. Junior enjoyed getting out and doing things, such as, working in his gardens, listening to music, specifically country and blue grass and he loved to spend time traveling to Niagara Falls, Dollywood, Kentucky and the Outer Banks just to name a few.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Richard, Jr.) Gurlea of Salem, Joyce Burbick of Sharpsville, PA and Marlene (Mark) Soos of Masury; two sons, Randy (Laura) Burbick of New Waterford and Richard (Lisa) Burbick of Leetonia; three sisters, Evelyn Yaggi of Beloit, Jean Prior of Port St. Lucia, FL and Joann (Carl) Garwood of Leetonia; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Fiscus and Vanita Kubus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel with Reverend John Bartholomew officiating with burial to follow in the cemetery.
