Columbiana – James M. Dickson, Jr., 87, of Columbiana, died Monday, May 28, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 29, 1931 in Fairview, PA, the son of the late James and Edna McCullough Dickson, Sr.
James worked as a shop manager with WM Inc. and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Washingtonville and had recently been attending St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Leetonia. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Salem and was a U.S. Army Veteran. James enjoyed golf, cars, and hunting, but the most important thing to him was always his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Howells Dickson, whom he married on October 15, 1949; three daughters, Carolyn (Dennis) Falzetta of Salem, Pamela (Michael) DiRocco of Louisville, Lynne (Andy) Beech of Columbiana; one son Larry (Mary Ann) Dickson of Columbiana; daughter-In-Law Marie Dickson of North Attleboro, MA; one brother, Donald Dickson of Reading, PA; ten grandchildren Jennifer, Travis, Amy, Angela, Leah, Nicole, Sara, Nick, Liza, and Alec and fifteen great grandchildren with one more on the way.
His son, Alan Dickson preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Woods-Rettig Funeral Home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
