Dora C. Gagnon

Alliance, OH-August 12, 2012-Dora C. Gagnon, 92, died at 8:30 am Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.

Mrs. Gagnon was born September 24, 1919 in Ragate, Vermont, a daughter of Harry and Lydia Heath Chamberlain.

Dora was a painter for the former Cherry Hill Furniture Company in Columbiana for several years. She was also a housewife and member and served as president for the New Waterford-Clipper Aerie #2415 Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband, Ralph L. Gagnon, whom she married November 14, 1935, died September 1, 1967.

She is survived by four children, Theodore (Nancy) Gagnon of St. Port Lucia, FL, Rolland (Althea) Gagnon of Falls Church, VA, Loretta (Bill) Wilson of Alliance and Janet (Gary) Crawford of Concord, NC; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children, Henry, Marie and Donald Gagnon; two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend Gary Rinker officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 am Thursday at the funeral home.
