Connie Jean Gorby

New Waterford - Connie Jean Gorby, 52, of New Waterford, passed away Saturday morning, October 15, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center of complications from pneumonia. She is now free and is able to walk with her Lord.

Connie was born November 2, 1963 in Salem a daughter of Alvin and Donna Huston Gorby and had lived in the New Waterford area all of her life.

Connie worked for In Christ's Hands Workshop, Salem for the past five years where she always had a positive attitude and was an inspiration to everyone she was around.

She is survived by her loving mother, who has been by her side her entire life, Donna (Edward) Swank of New Waterford; her sister, Denise (Rocco) Yemma of Youngstown; her two brothers, Aaron (Cinzia) Bragg of New Waterford and Brian Bragg of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Gorby and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Bob Mulhall officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.
