Alice M. Weaver, 91, formerly of East South Range Road, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima.

Mrs. Weaver was born May 27, 1920 in Louisa, KY, a daughter of the late Baz and Margaret Wilson Wellman, living in this area most of her life.

Alice delivered the Youngstown Vindicator for 41 years in the New Springfield and New Middletown area. She had also owned and operated Alice's Flowers on East South Range Road for several years and also had worked at the New Springfield Post Office. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and was most happy when she was with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her husband, Paul E. Weaver, whom she married December 25, 1941 died November 13, 1993.

She is survived by a son, Ronald L. Weaver of Rock Creek; four sisters, Ernestine Bush of New Springfield, Dorothy Smith of Columbiana, Louise Detwiler of Columbiana, and Anna Detwiler of Mineral Ridge; three brothers, Lowell (Jan) Wellman of Sebring, John "Pete" (Shirley) Wellman of North Lima, and Lon (Carolyn) Wellman of West Virginia; a grandson, Brian C. (Diane) Weaver of Akron; a granddaughter, Brenda R. (Tomas) Borst of Dacula, GA; and four great grandchildren, Alexis Weaver, Jeremy Weaver, Jaden Borst, and Makenna Borst.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Ockerman and a brother, Herman Wellman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Bradley Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, North Lima.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
