New Springfield - Woodrow Wilson Wise, 100, of 13833 Beaver Springfield Road, died Monday at 9:05 p.m., June 20, 2011 at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

Mr. Wise was born April 12, 1911 in Youngstown, a son of James Alexander and Lucetta L. Donner Wise and had lived in this area most of his life. He had worked as a shipper for General Fireproofing, Youngstown for 40 years, retiring in 1974. Woodrow was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Springfield.

His wife, the former, Clara G. Kubiczki whom he married October 26, 1937 died on March 28, 1999.

He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine (Dennis) Perkins of Bowling Green, KY; two sons, Allan (Marianne) Wise of Mt. Juliet, TN and Dennis (Crystal) Wise of East Liverpool; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

A daughter, Diane Dailey; six sisters, Ruth Barber, Vera Flannery, Sedora Sullivan, Cecil Organ, Mary Costello and Cleona Wise; three brothers, James, Howard and Edward Wise; and one great grandson, Andrew Douglas Perkins preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Aimee Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
