Winafred Barber

Columbiana - July 24, 2008 -Winafred Barber, 84, of 101 Park Court died at 11:16 p.m. Thursday in Aultman Hospital, Canton.

She was born April 11, 1924 in Dearth PA, a daughter of Ervin Edward and Lucy Ann Cover Meinhart.

Winafred had been a homemaker and had lived in the area most of her life.

She was preceded in death April 13, 2002 by her husband, Paul W. Barber whom she married October 15, 1941.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Beverly Ann) Malone of Mena, AK and Mrs. Thomas (Susan Jean) Hattmaker of New Middletown; four sons, Charles W. Barber of Columbiana, Lloyd W. Barber of Jacksonville, FL, Marvin L. Barber of East Millsboro, PA, and Douglas R. Barber of Columbiana; a sister, Gwenlynn Ann Clunen of Leetonia; a brother, Robert Meinhart of Niagara Falls, NY; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barber was also preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Garrett and Betty Jean Holzworth; and four brothers, Ervin E., Albert T., Claude, and Donald R. Meinhart.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home with Mr. Timothy Postle, Evangelist officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
