Wilmer "Starch" W. Stanley, 81, of Columbiana, Ohio passed away peacefully June 1st at his daughter's home in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Starch is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Mary Eva Guindon Stanley of Columbiana. Born Feb 1925 in Salem, Ohio he was the eldest child of the late Roscoe Robert Stanley and Sina E. Stanley Blackburn. Starch was a birthright member of the Religious Society of Friends, (Quakers) and a member of Middleton Friends Meeting. He was a graduate of the class of 1943 from Olney Friends School in Barnesville, Ohio. Starch was a member of the Tri-County Antique Car Club. He retired from Columbiana Motors after over forty years of dedicated service. During his retirement he was employed by Columbiana Buick Olds as a driver. Starch was preceded in death by his two siblings, Robert C. Stanley and Dorothy Mae Scott. Surviving him are three daughters; Dr. Christine Stanley Gerber (Randy) of South Carolina; Karen Stanley Campf (Bill) of Ohio; Darlene Stanley of North Carolina; five grandchildren; Christopher Joseph Gerber; W Jeremy Campf; Christine Louise Campf; Megan Stanley-Lewis and Jesse Emry Garvin. Memorial services will be held at 1pm Saturday, June 17 at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, 28 N Main Street Columbiana Ohio. Burial will be in the Middleton Friends Cemetery on Kirk Road Columbiana, Ohio. Friends may call from 4- 8pm Friday June 16 at the Warrick- Kummer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Olney Friends School, 61830 Sandy Ridge Rd, Barnesville, Ohio in the name of Wilmer W. and Mary Eva Guindon Stanley.
