Darlington, PA-January 5, 2008-Wilma Griffith, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 5, 2008.
Wilma was born July 14, 1919 in East Liverpool, OH, a daughter of William and Mary Belle Wright Finney and had lived in the Darlington area since 1954.
She was a homemaker and member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine, OH.
Her husband, James J. Griffith, whom she married August 28, 1936 died October 12, 1983.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (Donald) Young of Hagerstown, Maryland, Mary Jane Griffith and Rodney Peters of Ellwood City, PA; her three sons, James (Marcia) Griffith of Hanoverton, OH, Charles (Sandra) Griffith of East Palestine, OH and Richard (Karen) Griffith of New Waterford, OH; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Wilma will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wandah Hall and Alice Raybuck and a brother, Charles Finney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
