William Ralph Simms, Sr

New Waterford – William Ralph Simms, Sr., 68, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Simms was born May 2, 1946 in East Liverpool, a son of the late James and LaVerne Bettridge Simms.

He had been employed as a truck driver for Sentle Trucking, retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, the former, Lisa A. Hawkins whom he married February 12, 1980; four daughters, B.J. Simms of Rootstown, Jessica A. Snow of Salem, Margie Verdin of Elkton and Nicole Hays of Rogers; three sons, Travis Snow of Salem, Octaviano Alejandre of Rootstown and William Simms, Jr. of Elkton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sets of infant twin sons and four brothers, Freddie Foden, Jimmy Simms, Sonny Foden and Harold Foden.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
