Salem – William “Bill” R. Yeager, age 83, of Salem, died on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
He was born on November 24, 1932 in Clarkson, OH, a son of the late Ray and Anna Dickey Yeager.
Bill was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of Phillips Christian Church, Salem and had worked as an upholsterer for Stearns & Foster-Sealy for 41 years.
His wife, Beverly Ann Dickey Yeager, whom he married on March 3, 1956, preceded him in death on October 13, 2003.
He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Haddox of Wellsville; three sons, Richard Yeager of Salem, Allen Yeager of Salem and Bruce Yeager of Leetonia; a brother, Lawrence Yeager of Atwater, OH and a companion, Beverly Evans of Salem. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Brush and a great grandson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Phillips Christian Church, Salem.
Burial will be at the Franklin Square Cemetery.
