He is survived by his wife of six years, Norma Jean Sweet Lilly, whom he married August 24, 2001. She will miss him deeply as will many of his friends and buddies. This firecracker of a man had many brothers and sisters as well as aunts and uncles whom he loved; five sisters, Lee Dunlack, Pat McCourt, Ruth Kirby, Eunice Evans, Rosie Blackburn and six brothers, Paul, Jack, Cecil, John, Wayne and Fred Chase.
Eugene worked at EDI-Central in Lisbon. He was a great worker who often had many ideas for management. Eugene was a man of many talents. Perhaps the way he cared about people when he was kidding with them was his gift to us all. His friends and co-workers will miss his jokes as well as his genuine concern for them. Eugene was also a part of Threshold Residential Services. He was loved and will be missed by many of the staff and residents of Threshold.
A memorial service to celebrate Eugene's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the First Church of Christ, East Palestine with Jim Ostick, Minister officiating.
