Rogers February 15, 2007 -William K. Greenwood, age 89, of 10284 Dutchtown School Road died at 2:25 a.m. Thursday in the Parkside Health Care Center at Columbiana.
He was born Oct. 11, 1917 in East Liverpool, son of William H. and Ethel Estell Greenwood.
Mr. Greenwood served in the Navy during WW II.
He had lived in Rogers since 1946 and had been a Supervisor for Crucible Steel at Midland PA for 43 years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Greenwood was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene at East Palestine, a 50 year member of the East Liverpool Lodge #681 F&AM, a 32nd Degree Mason, Valley of Steubenville, AASR.
His wife, the former Betty Jean Stype, whom he married December 28, 1936, preceded him in death April 28, 1991.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Joyce) McLaughlin of Rogers, Mrs. Leonard (Peggy) McLaughlin of Bethlehem, PA, and Judy Brown of Leetonia; a son, Joseph W. Greenwood of Columbiana; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Lois Curran and a brother, Harry T. Greenwood preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Brown and Pastor Paul Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana.
The East Liverpool Lodge will conduct a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
