Leetonia- William "Bill" Gologram Jr., age 78, of Leetonia, died on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Vista Center of Lisbon.
He was born on May 11, 1939 in Salem, the son of the late William Gologram Sr., and Norma Mae Harrison Gologram.
Bill had worked as a mechanic at Beede-Poorman Co. in Youngstown for 29 years and later retired from National Refractories in Columbiana. Besides working and raising his family, Bill also assisted his wife Donna with daycare that the couple ran from there home. In a little more than 35 years, they were able to touch the lives of over 80 area children. He was a hard worker and a man who could fix anything. Bill loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Leetonia Sportsman Club as well as the NRA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and really enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in Potter County, PA. Mostly, Bill enjoyed his family.
His wife, Donna Ruth West Gologram, whom he married on February 1, 1958, preceded him in death on August 10, 2000.
He is survived by his son, William (Sharon) Gologram III of Industry, PA; a daughter, Tawnya (Kim Davis) Gologram of Leetonia; a sister, Diane Good of Cincinnati, and a brother, Steven Smith of Leetonia. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Makayla, Tara, and Zoee Gologram.
Bill was preceded in death by an infant son, Chris T. Gologram, and a sister, Donna Carney. Also preceding him in death was his best friend and hunting buddy, Robert Iden.
Per his request, private family services will be held at a later date.
