William D. Boswell, Sr

Leetonia - William D. Boswell, Sr., 75, of Leetonia, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital after being stricken at his home.

Mr. Boswell was born April 29, 1936 in Washington, PA, a son of the late John and Mildred Doak Boswell, coming to this area in 1967. He had been an owner/operator truck driver for several years, last working with Jones Motor Company.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lois J. Bingham, whom he married May 18, 1959; three daughters, Debra (Russell) Spitz of Jacksonville, FL, Vickie (Gary) Harrah of Newton Falls, and Tamara (Robert) Vitullo of Youngstown; three sons, William (Kathy) Boswell, Jr. of Salem, Mark (Victoria) Boswell of Massillon, and John R. (Suzanne Scavone) of Ocala, FL; one brother, Jack (Shirley) Boswell of Washington, PA; 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A brother, Richard Boswell is deceased.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
