William F. Binder
Salem-William F. Binder, 77, passed away at 5:55 am Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Hospice House in Poland.
Bill was born July 26, 1936 in Spangler, PA, a son of the late Ralph J. and Mary B. Foster Binder. A graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College in Johnstown, PA, he worked for General Motors, retiring in 1986. A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia, Bill served in the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion and the Lion's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Edith M. (Wenturine) Binder, whom he married November 9, 1962; a daughter, Leanne M. Binder of Salem; a son, Ralph J. (Julie) Binder of Salem; a sister, Lovell Binder of Alexandria, VA; two granddaughters, Alexis (Dean) Schuller and Angela Binder; and a great granddaughter, Isabella Marie Schuller.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia L. Rainey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, December 9, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Salem Honor Guard will accord military honors following Mass. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Sunday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia where a wake service will be held at 4:00 pm.
