Lisbon - William V. Lacey, 94, formerly of Lisbon, died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Essex of Salem I.
Mr. Lacey was born April 25, 1921 in Springfield, a son of the late William T. and Nancy Wray Lacey and had lived in the area 50 years, coming from West Union, OH.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII. He had been employed as a grinder at Eljer Plumbingware in Salem and had also been a self employed dairy farmer. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Lisbon Congregation.
He is survived by a step daughter, Sadie Sampson of Goshen, OH; a sister, Helen Hurst of Atwater, CA; a brother, Marvin Leedom of Katy, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Rollin and Harold Parks; and six brothers, Harry, Robert, Ralph, Herbie, and Ceicel Lacey and Richard Widener.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Lisbon Kingdom Hall, Hunters Camp Road, Lisbon.
