Wilbur J. Kyser

Wilbur J. Kyser, 91, of Salem, formerly of Columbiana, passed away April 10, 2025 at his home.

He was born June 8, 1933 in Columbiana, a son of the late Marvin A. and Freda Riesen Kyser and had lived in this area all of his life.

Wilbur worked as a machinist for NRM Company in Columbiana and had been a member of the former Wood Carvers Group in Salem.

His wife, Shirley A. Jugenheimer Kyser, whom he married on December 12, 1953, preceded him in death on, April 12, 2017.

Wilbur is survived by his son, Terry L. (Carla) Kyser of Salem; a daughter, Deborah S. Kyser of Lisbon; a sister, Jean Foy of Boardman; and three grandchildren, Richard Kyser, Abby Kyser, and Tyler Kyser.

Wilbur was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Kyser; a brother, Wilford Kyser and a sister Evelyn Welch.

Services will be held at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana at 11:00 am Tuesday April 15, 2025 with Chaplain Dan Tayman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery where Columbiana Legion Honor Guard will accord military honors.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
