Wilbur Harry Garrod, Jr.

Leetonia - Wilbur Harry Garrod, Jr., age 69, of Leetonia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his home.

He was born on December 1, 1955, in Salem, a son of the late Wilbur and Madalyn Anglemyer Garrod.

Wilbur had worked as a Salesperson for Sheely’s Furniture and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leetonia.  He enjoyed watching TV, spending time in the outdoors and attending church.  Those who knew him best will remember him for his kind nature and great sense of humor.

His wife, Deborah Jean Hinten-Garrod, whom he married in 2006, preceded him in death on, May 9, 2023.

Wilbur is survived by his Neighbors and close friends, Corey (Abbey Minamyer) Creamer and Vivi Minamyer-Creamer of Leetonia; two sons, Derek and Drew Garrod, along with their spouses and several grandchildren, and by a sister, Sharon (Bill) Crabill of Columbiana.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Jean Kannal, and three brothers, George, Kenneth and David Garrod.

Services will be held at a later date.

Wilbur will be laid to rest with his wife at Lisbon Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
