Washingtonville-July 19, 2010-Wesley A. "Butch" Bell, Sr., 70, of 760 Stocking Street, died at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Community Hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Bell was born October 16, 1939 in Washingtonville, a son of Harry and Blanche Heinzleman Bell and had lived in this area all of his life.
He worked for Pittsburgh Foundry, Mullins Manufacturing and Eljers in Salem retiring in 1998. He was baptized Lutheran. Butch was a life member of FOE #1496 in Leetonia.
He is survived by his wife the former Joann Cross Tunnat, whom he married August 2, 1980; a daughter, Cindy (Charles) Quinby of Columbiana; four sons, Wesley A. Bell Jr. and Rodney (Robin) Bell both of Leetonia, John McGath and Jack (Wave) McGath both of Columbiana; two sisters, Beatrice Bowman and Mary Leona Slagle both of Canfield; nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Bell, two sisters, Ruth Biradi and Ethel Felton and six brothers, Robert, Homer, Walter, Donald, Harold and Earl Bell.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
