Wayne M. Hoover
Columbiana - February 26, 2006 - Wayne M. Hoover, in his 96th year, of 360 Firestone Avenue, died at 7:48 p.m. Sunday at the Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima.
Mr. Hoover was born September 19, 1909 in Alliance, a son of Clyde M. and Lottie M. Groner Hoover and had lived in this area all of his life.
He was a 1932 graduate of Mt. Union College in Alliance and was chief executive officer of the Columbiana Pump Company in Columbiana for many years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ.
His wife, the former Lena Antoinette, whom he married September 2, 1939 died April 25, 1986.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Autumn W. Burdette of Canfield; a son, Kim M. Hoover of Poland; four grandsons and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana with the Reverend Charles Ready officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Material tributes may take the form of a donation to the Grace United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
