Wayne G. Ewing

Rogers - January 28, 2007 - Wayne G. "Smokey" Ewing, 76, of 5608 Adams Road, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at his home.

Mr. Ewing was born January 6, 1931 in Fairfield Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, a son of Robert and Helen Whitaker Ewing and had lived here since 1990, coming from Milford, PA.

He had been employed as a supervisor at Contel Telephone Company for several years, retiring in 1990. He served in US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former June L. Dishong Ewing.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jacki Drewnoski of Rogers; two sons, Gregory (Beth) Ewing of Lisbon and Jeffrey (Cheryl) Ewing of Port Jervis, NY; two sisters, Mrs. Pat (Dorothy) Mango of Columbiana and Mrs. Bob (Anita) Kotis of Avon Lake, OH; a brother, Larry Ewing of Columbiana; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2007.
