Columbiana January 26, 2004 - Warren Joseph Gurski, age 71, of 164 Parkview Drive died at 6:30 p.m. Monday at his residence.

He was born Sept. 12, 1932 in Ann Arbor MI, son of Walter and Lillian Kempany Gurski.

He had lived in Columbiana for 50 years, coming from Lisbon.

Mr. Gurski had been a Loan Officer for First Investment Mortgage, Colonial Mortgage and Galbreath Mortgage. He was Assistant Building Inspector and Assistant Zoning Inspector for Village of Columbiana for 12 years.

He graduated from David Anderson High School in Lisbon and received a degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. He was an outstanding football player at both schools. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman.

Mr. Gurski served in the Navy following the Korean War.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Karen) Hum of Canfield and Mrs. Michael (Denice) Reidy of Palm Harbor, FL; a sister, Mrs. James (Karen) Kohlbeck of Munising, MI three brothers, Ronald Gurski of Vancouver, WA, Allen Gurski of Munising, MI and Gary Gurski of Fenton, MI; and four grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
