East Palestine - June 28, 2008 - Wanda L. Rowland, 85, of 381 East North Avenue, died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Rowland was born October 14, 1922 in Cambridge, OH, a daughter of James E. and Mary Abrams Munyon and had lived in this area most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. She was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeye fan. She loved Siamese cats and loved to take cruises and vacations with her daughter.

Her husband, Donn W. Rowland, whom she married May 3, 1941 died September 17, 1970.

She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Ellen Kording and Cynthia Rowland, both of East Palestine; two sons, J. Brian Rowland of New Bremen, OH and Jeffrey A. (Debra) Rowland of Leetonia; five grandchildren, Lisa Wooten, Curtis Snead, Jason Rowland, Leslie Rowland, and Melissa Rowland; and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Arthurs and Joyce Himes; two brothers, Roy Munyon and James Munyon; and a great grandson, Austin Wooten.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with the Reverend Vicky Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
