Virginia Snyder

Columbiana February 6, 2006 -Dora Virginia Snyder, age 89, of 13900 South Avenue died at 9:12 p.m. Monday at her residence.

She was born Aug. 14, 1916 in East Liverpool, daughter of Raymond and Mary Horbort Stephens.

Virginia graduated from Columbiana High School had lived in Columbiana for 72 years.

She had been a devout housewife, was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, a Sunday School Teacher, a member and past president Women's Guild, a member and Past Noble Grand of Pandora Rebekah Lodge #743, a member and Past Worthy Matron of Columbiana Chapter #428 Order of East Star. Her husband, Robert Eugene Snyder, whom she married June 30, 1937 preceded her in death April 21, 2005.

Surviving are a son, Larry E. Snyder of Columbiana; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Madge Ludwig, a brother, Richard Stephens and two grandsons preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Boehm officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The Rebekah Lodge will conduct a memorial service following calling hours.
