Virginia Mcguckin

East Palestine- Virginia McGuckin, age 91, of East Palestine, died on Friday, January 30, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on July 14, 1923 in East Palestine, the daughter of the late Arthur and Pansy Greaves Thorpe.

Virginia was a lifetime resident and had worked as a homemaker.

Her husband, Charles McGuckin, whom she married on November 7, 1942, preceded her in death on January 29, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Capan of Vermilion, OH and Mary McGuckin of North Carolina and by two sons, Michael McGuckin of Beaver, PA and Todd McGuckin of East Palestine. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

Virginia was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron McGuckin and a sister June.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke- Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
