Virginia "Ginny" Ellen Echard

Leetonia, OH- Virginia "Ginny" Ellen Echard, age 62, of Leetonia, died on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Salem Community Hospital.

She was born on November 28, 1951 in Salem, a daughter of Robert M. Wilson and the late Betty J. Burns Wilson.

Ginny was a graduate of New Springfield High School and worked as an x-ray technician for 38 years.

She was a member of the New Springfield United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, crafts and cake decorating. Ginny also enjoyed the time she and her late husband Jack spent woodworking and restoring old furniture. In recent years, she mostly enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Jack L. Echard, whom she married on April 21, 1972, preceded her in death on December 26, 2011.

Ginny is survived by her father, Robert Wilson of New Springfield; two daughters, Melissa (Frank) Magno of New Galilee, PA and Julie (Jeff) Heverly of Youngstown; a sister, Beverly (Rich) Cleland of New Springfield and two brothers, Edward (Gloria) Wilson and David (Kris) Wilson both of New Springfield.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Cheyenne and Austin Echard, Morgan Heverly, Talia, Audrey and Reagan Magno.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 5PM - 7PM at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11AM at the funeral home where the family will again receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Todd Wilhelm will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery, Fairfield Twp.
