Virginia Irla Artrip

Gainesville, Texas - Virginia Irla Artrip, 88, of Gainesville, formerly of Vale Road, Rogers, OH, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Artrip was born April 24, 1929 in East Palestine, OH, a daughter of the late William Fred and Edna Jane Pike Landsberger and had lived in Columbiana County all of her life until moving to Texas 10 months ago.

She was a homemaker and had attended the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church, Rogers. She had also been a member of the former Arrowhead Afternoon Trio Bowling League and the Loyal Order of the Moose, East Palestine.

Her husband, William Walter Artrip, whom she married August 17, 1974, died May 14, 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy (Randy) Weaver of Gainesville, TX and Mrs. Terri (Wayne) Morrison of New Waterford, OH; two sons, Herman (Deborah) Aeschbacher of Willow Spring, NC and Donald (Kyong) Aeschbacher of Rogers, OH; three sisters, Louise Yacullo of Phoenix, AZ, Margaret Stratton of Greer, SC and Evelyn (Jerome) Bailey of East Palestine, OH; a brother, Elvie J. (Barbara) Landsberger of New Springfield, OH; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Aeschbacher; three sons, Thomas Aeschbacher, Marvin Aeschbacher, and Oliver Aeschbacher; a sister, Edna Knight; six brothers, Fred H. Landsberger, Edward J. Landsberger, Albert H. Landsberger, and Charles L. Landsberger, William C. Landsberger, and Frankie Landsberger; and a granddaughter and a great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, OH with Pastor Randy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday.
