Columbiana March 15, 2005 - Evelyn Verjean Bable, age 76, of 43 Village Court died at 1:08 p.m. Tuesday in the Salem Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks.
She was born February 8, 1929 in East Fairfield, daughter of Clark and Pauline Mae Albright Chamberlain and had lived in the East Fairfield-Columbiana area all of her life.
Mrs. Bable a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church where she was involved with several church organizations. She had visited shut-ins for many years.
Mrs. Bable graduated from Hannah Mullins School of Nursing and worked as a LPN at Salem Community Hospital for 25 years.
Her husband, Lawrence Mathew Bable, Jr. whom she married June 1, 1947, preceded her in death November 28, 2000.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Vicki) Windram of Leetonia; a son, James (Carol) Bable of New Waterford; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Smith of Columbiana and Mrs. Joyce Ward of New Waterford; a brother, Jay (June) Chamberlain of East Fairfield; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be conducted at the convenience of her family, with the Rev. Mitchael Hennessey and Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in the East Fairfield Cemetery.
Friends may call 6-8 Thursday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana.
