Columbiana, OH-Vanda Lee McQuistion, 80, of 44101 Metz Road died at 1:27 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Hospice House, Poland.

Mrs. McQuistion was born December 12, 1931 in Paris, OH, a daughter of Homer and Pauline Blanchard Miller. She had been employed in the shipping department of Mellinger's Nursery, North Lima.

Vanda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, New Middletown where she loved singing in the choir.

Her husband, Louis Evan McQuistion, whom she married July 1, 1950 died November 22, 1988.

She is survived by two sons, Louis E. (Elizabeth Fraley) McQuistion, Jr. of Columbiana and David L. McQuistion of Washingtonville; six sisters, Irene (Eldon) Morckel of Salem, Lavonne (Harold) Edgerton of St. Charles, MO, Sally Pollock of Salem, Linda (Larry) McKeivier of North Canton, Sandra Hollabaugh of Salem, and Kate (Dane) McCallister of Salem; three brothers, Ronald (Kathy) Miller of Alliance, Richard Miller of Sebring, and Roger (Bonnie) Miller of Columbiana; five grandchildren, Tracy, Wendy, David, Joseph, and Kyle and ten great grandchildren.

A daughter, Ann Marie Evans, a brother, Robert Miller, and her companion, Jack Kuhlman also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Zion Lutheran Church, New Middletown with Pastor Larry Klinker officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, New Middletown.
