Thomas Matthew Mckim
Pittsburgh, PA-July 11, 2010-Thomas "Matthew" McKim, 34, of Pittsburgh, died at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
Matthew was born February 15, 1976 in New Brighton, PA, a son of Thomas L. and Sabrina Carol Katchmar McKim and had lived in Pittsburgh, Pa the past 16 years coming from Enon Valley, PA.
He was a 1995 graduate of Blackhawk High School and then went on to study history and political science at the University of Pittsburgh graduating in 1998. Matthew worked as a supervisor for Walgreens Drug Store in Bethel Park, PA. He had also worked for UMPC, Allegheny General and the Dialysis Clinic in Oakland, PA. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine, OH.
He is survived by his parents of Enon Valley; and a brother and his fiancAC., Michael J. McKim and Ashley Burkett of East Palestine, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
