Lisbon-Thomas V. McBride, 60, of State Route 154, Lisbon, formerly of East Palestine, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital after a brief and courageous bout with kidney cancer.
He was born September 21, 1950 in Youngstown to the late George V. and Avanelle (Farr) McBride. He was a former millwright employed by V&M Star in Youngstown, Ohio for over 20 years. He was also formerly employed by Roshel Industries and Adamson Tank.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vicki L. (Johnson) McBride whom he married November 20, 1971; two sons, George T. "Tommy" McBride of Lisbon, and Joseph R. and wife Jennifer (Clark) McBride of East Palestine; two grandchildren, Jade and Joseph "J.D." McBride; two sisters, Avanelle "Sandy" Shelton of Boardman, and Kathleen R. McBride (Dan Ortosky, fiancAC.) of East Liverpool; three brothers, Lawrence (Kathy) McBride of Hubbard, Gerald F. (Leony) McBride of Marion and James D. (Deborah) McBride of Columbiana.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia McBride.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews, and many friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana with John Cresanto, Evangelist of Lake Mount Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
