Columbiana-Thomas E. Eastek, Sr., age 64, of Columbiana, formerly of Leetonia, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Hospice House of Poland.
Tom was born on April 30, 1952 in Salem, the son of the late Alexander and Leila Herman Eastek and had lived in this area all of his life.
He was employed as a firefighter with the Salem Fire Department for 30 years. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed riding his Harley, and traveling.
Tom is survived by his wife, Robin M. Meckes Eastek; a daughter, Stephanie A. Eastek of Dayton; two sons, Thomas E. (Stephanie E.) Eastek, Jr. of Leetonia and Christopher “Rob” Eastek of Leetonia, and a sister, Karen Fast of Salem. Also surviving are Veranika Zakharyeva and Katya Hargreaves whom he considered to be his daughters and two grandchildren, Kalie A. Eastek and Brandon T. Eastek.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne L. Strouse Eastek.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas’ memory to Hospice House.
