Salem-July 28, 2010-Thelma Gayon Anglemyer, 83, died Wednesday at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
Mrs. Anglemyer was born January 14, 1927 in Struthers, a daughter of the last Charles O. and Jessie M. Tidd Peebles and lived in the Salem since 2001 coming from Columbiana.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed golfing on the Whispering Pines Golfing League, the Valley Ladies Golf League, and the Valley Couples Golf League and enjoyed dancing. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana.
Her first husband, Stephen Gayon, whom she married April 7, 1945, died June 23, 1992.
Her second husband, Dewayne Anglemyer, whom she married August 19, 1994, died November 4, 2001.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Edward) Miller of Fort Mill, SC, Karen (Alan) Smith-Falk of Salem and Rebecca (Randy) Crowl of Rootstown; a son, Stephen (Cathy) Gayon of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Gertrude Pajatsch of Struthers; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Thelma was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dean; two brothers, Edward and George Peebles; and a grandson, Scott Edward Stephen Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Mr. John Reed, Minster officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
