Teresa Fay "Tess" Sinsley

Columbiana-April 20, 2011-Teresa Fay "Tess" Sinsley, 91, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday at Whispering Pines Village where she had resided the past seven years.

Mrs. Sinsley was born June 20, 1919 in Ambridge, PA, a daughter of John Walter and Loretta Grace Grim Wagoner, Sr. Previous to living in Columbiana, she had resided in Leetonia since 1957.

Tess had attended Salem Business College and was a sewer for the former Franklin Furniture in Columbiana for several years retiring in 1966.

She was a member of the Leetonia Mennonite Church where she served as secretary for eight years. Tess also attended the Columbiana Church of Christ. She was a charter member of the Leetonia Crime Watch, was a member of Christians Concerns for 13 years and served as their secretary for nine years. She was also a life member of Washingtonville York Drexler Post # 5532 VFW Auxiliary.

Her husband, Russell G. Sinsley, Sr., whom she married September 24, 1938, died May 20, 2004.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Lou (James) Stark of Brighton, MI and Karen (John) Rance of Leetonia; a son, Russell G. (Barb) Sinsley, Jr. of New Waterford; thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, four brothers and a great grandson, Josh Sinsley.

Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Private burial will take place in Midway Mennonite Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Whispering Pines Village 937 E. Park Street, Columbiana.
