Sylvia A. Summers

New Castle-October 25, 2008-Sylvia Summers, 47, of 430 Rapson Ave. died Saturday morning at her home.

Sylvia was born January 31, 1961 in New Castle, a daughter of Ernest and Beverly Beike Lambright and had lived in the New Castle area the past six months. She previously had lived in Ellwood City and Erie, PA.

She was a salesclerk for Sears in Erie and also enjoyed being a free lance artist. She loved writing poems and short stories and volunteering at the library.

She is survived by her father, Ernest Lambright of Enon Valley, PA; four sisters, Helen Lambright of Lebanon, OH, Millie (Butch) Cox of New Castle, PA., Leigh Canady and Beverly Lambright of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Reverend Ernest (Connie) Lambright of Lander, WY and Jonathan (Shirley) Lambright of Darlington, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her mother, two brothers, Herbert and William Lambright are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH with Pastor David Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday and 12 noon-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
