Suzanne W. Holloway, 70, of Leetonia, died Tuesday morning, September 19, 2017 at her home with her family at her side.
Suzanne was born March 4, 1947 in Salem, a daughter of the late John G. “Jack” and Elsie M. Ibbotson Woods and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Leetonia High School and attended Ohio University and graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree.
She taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at Crestview Schools from 1969 through 1974. She later was employed 20 years at Holloway Insurance. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Leetonia, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Child Conservation League and the Craft Club.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis J. Holloway, whom she married September 7, 1968; a daughter, Shannon (Mark) Ingram of Strongsville, OH; a son, Sean J. (Jessica) Holloway of Leetonia; five sisters, Mary (John) Gibson of Royal Oak, MD, Margaret (Gary) Pietras of Powder Springs, GA, Dodie (Michael) Nicotera of Salem, Patty (Rick) Altomare of Leetonia, and Bobbie (Andy) Billet of Leetonia; two brothers, John Woods of Salem and Tom (Debbie Groubert) Woods of Leetonia; two grandchildren, Kathryn Ingram and Jack Ingram; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
