Susan Rae Wilkes

Lisbon-Susan Rae Wilkes, 74, passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Wilkes was born November 28, 1942. She was raised by her foster parents, Joe and Mary Kovolyan of Streetsboro.

Susan was a billing clerk for R&L Transport for many years. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana.

Her husband, Charles Frederick Wilkes, Jr., whom she married June 9, 1962, died July 20, 2013.

She is survived by her foster parents, Joe and Mary Kovolyan of Streetsboro; four daughters, Valerie Wilkes of Mesa, AZ , Sheila Holloway of Leetonia, Diane Howie of Parker, CO and Kasey Kridler of East Palestine; two sons, Fred Hennan of Columbiana and Charlie Hennan of East Liverpool; a sister, Mickey Smith of Strawberry, AZ; a brother, Dale McGee of Brookfield; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A sister, Pat Miller is deceased.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.
