Sue Weeden

Columbiana- Sue Weeden, age 78, of Columbiana, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on February 5, 1939 in North Lima, a daughter of the late Adin and Ethel Cooley Mellinger.

Sue was a lifetime area resident and had attended the Columbiana Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting casinos, bingo, playing cards and board games. In recent years, she enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and traveling with her friend Eddie Hoffman. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her husband, Norman Frederick Weeden, whom she married on May 24, 1958, preceded her in death on May 14, 2009.

She is survived by two sons, Greg (Cheryl) Weeden of Boardman and Eric Weeden of Youngstown; two sisters, Ynonne Garlich of North Lima and Charlotte (Bill) Evankovich of Columbiana; and four grandchildren, Alexis, Joseph, Lydia and Christopher Weeden.

Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Detrick and three brothers, David, Willard, and Luster Mellinger.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
