Poland - Shirley V. Hosack, 82, of Poland, died at 2:40 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at The Assumption Village, North Lima.
Mrs. Hosack was born January 5, 1930 in Salineville, a daughter of Homer and Mary Hazel Faloon and had lived in this area most of her life.
Shirley had been employed as a secretary for the Herriott Trucking Company, East Palestine. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ, North Lima.
She is survived by her husband, Earl M. Hosack whom she married, September 2, 1951; a son and daughter-in-law, CAPT James and Carrie Hosack, USN of Woodbridge, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jill Faloon of Napa, CA; and two grandchildren, James "J.T." Hosack, Jr. of Greensboro, NC and ENS Brennan T. Hosack, USN of San Diego, CA.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Faloon.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Reverend Jerry Kruse officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 pm Thursday.
