Columbiana October 21, 2006 -Sarah Frances Curl, age 65, of 44831 Crestview Road died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Cleveland Clinic, where she had been a patient for one week.
She was born May 23, 1941 in Pittsburgh PA, daughter of William and Clementina MacDaniels.
Mrs. Curl had lived in Columbiana area for most of her life, Tampa Florida for ten years and the last three years at her present address.
She had been a Teacher in Rogers for twelve years and in Warren for 18 years.
She was a member of the New Springfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Her first husband, David Eugene Scott whom she married January 3, 1959 died October 6, 1989 and a son, David E. Scott, Jr. in 1971, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her second husband, Donald C. Curl whom she married June 25, 1994; a daughter, Darla Sue Slaven of North Lima;; five sons, John Scott of Washingtonville, George Scott of Apalachicola, FL, Daniel Scott of New Waterford, Paul Scott of Concord, NC, Terry Scott of Columbiana; two sisters Mrs. Jeff (Barbara) Beard of Penn, PA and Mrs. Chip (Lee) Whitman of Medford, OR; a brother, Howard House of Adams, TN; three step daughters, Dawn McCambridge of Columbiana, Mrs. John (Amy) Wilbert of Petersburg and Mrs. Scott (Barbara) Granger of Centerville, PA; three step-sons, Philp Gotthardt of Anchorage, AK, Eddie Curl of Boardman and Jeff Gotthardt of Norton, 41 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the New Springfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Burial will be in East Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial tributes to the American Heart Association of the American Lung Association.
