Sarah F. Riesen

Columbiana - July 21, 2007 - Sarah F. Riesen, 91, of 1033 Fairfield Avenue, died Saturday at 6:55 p.m. at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Riesen was born January 16, 1916 in Negley, a daughter of Edward Jacob and Mary Richardson Wentz and had lived in Columbiana since 1940, coming from Negley. She had been employed as a salesperson at the former Strouss Company in Boardman, retiring in 1981.

She was preceded in death on October 9, 2000 by her husband, John William Riesen, whom she married June 29, 1940; and a brother, Harry Wentz.

She is survived by a brother, Stanford Edward Wentz of Fenton, MI and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Dave Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
