Sarah E. Curtis

East Palestine, OH – Sarah E. Curtis, 79, of 70 West Martin Street, formerly of Monroeville and Gray Station, PA, died at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Curtis was born November 17, 1935 in Gray Station, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Short Kellerman. She had resided in East Palestine the past five years, coming from Monroeville, PA. She had been employed as a seamstress at the Forbes Health System for 14 years. She had attended the First Church of Christ in East Palestine and was a member of the Monroeville Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar A. Curtis, whom she married July 10, 1952; a daughter, Sarah (Robert) Helbeck of East Palestine; two sons, Oscar A. (Beth) Curtis, Jr. of Delmont, PA and Edward S. (Patricia) Curtis of Gilbert, AZ; two sisters, June Ehman and Donna (Robert) Patz, both of Blairsville, PA; two brothers, Joe (Barb) Kellerman and Jim (Yvonne) Kellerman, both of Blairsville, PA; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A sister, Annie Patz and a brother, Dave Kellerman are deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Mr. Jeff Neubert officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday (today) and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
