"Together Again"
Rogers - Rosanna R. Shingleton, 99, of Walnut Street, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana where she had resided the past 16 days.
Mrs. Shingleton was born August 12, 1913 in Grafton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late James and Anna Shaffer Godwin and had lived in this area most of her life.
Mrs. Shingleton was a home maker and member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ, New Waterford.
Her husband, Robert Shingleton, whom she married February 16, 1931 died November 24, 1993.
She is survived by four sons, James (Margaret) Shingleton of Rogers, with whom she had made her home the past 16 years, Dale (Becky) Shingleton of Wooster, Edward (Judy) Shingleton of Mesa, AZ and Frank (Tammy) Shingleton of Rogers; a daughter, Norma Holtom of Lancaster, OH; a brother, Hayward Godwin of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy and Charles Shingleton; eight sisters, Viola Wolverton, Wanedith McCauley, Nora Reneman, Lena Mossburg, Hazel Cunningham, Idella Austin, Flo Haddix-McCord and Bernice Godwin; a brother, Howard Godwin; and a great grandson, Collin James.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Lake Mount Church of Christ with Mr. John Cresanto officiating. Burial will follow in the Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Mount Church of Christ and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
