Robert Titus Smith

Columbiana - Robert Titus Smith, age 92, of Columbiana, died on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

He was born on December 10, 1933, in Youngstown, son of the late Clair and Mable Titus Smith.

Robert was a 1951 graduate of Springfield Twp. High School, he went on to work at NRM in Columbiana and Akron and General Motors, Lordstown. He was a devoted member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church and the New Waterford Lions Club. Robert enjoyed singing in the church choir wherever they were living and also sang in the Salem Jubilee Chorus. Throughout his life he enjoyed farming, traveling, cruising, watching NASCAR, relaxing in his chair and had spent countless hours researching genealogy over the years. Robert loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kathleen Chamberlain Smith, whom he married on July 17, 1955, daughter, Sheryl K. (Ed) Shadle of Bedford, VA; son, Robert J. (Perri) Smith of Lisbon; two sisters, Kathryn C. Duncan of East Palestine and Virginia M. (Robert) Spear of East Palestine; five grandchildren, Sarah (Robert) Thorne, Rebecca (Shaun) Donovan, Jeffrey (Mandi) Smith, Daniel (Heather) Hawkins and Katie (Rich) Schultz; step grandchild, Lauren Shadle and six great grandchildren, Bria Donovan, Kaydis Smith, Keith Smith, Drew Donovan, Liam Hawkins and Harper Hawkins. .

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hollenbaugh.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, New Waterford.

Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, 11:00 am at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church New Waterford, with Reverend Lisa Courtwright officiating.

Burial will take place at East Fairfield Cemetery.
