Robert O. Rodrick
East Palestine - Robert O. Rodrick, 83, of the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana and formerly of East Palestine, died at 4:02 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Rodrick was born September 28, 1930 in Keene, NH, a son of the late Francis J. and Sylvia Oliver Rodrick, coming to this area as a child. He had been employed as a police dispatcher for the Village of East Palestine for 24 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.
He is survived by two sisters, Janice Weaver of Elloree, SC and Bonnie Raley of New Waterford; a brother, Francis "Rudy" Rodrick of Ball Ground, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Ted Rodrick is also deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
