Robert Allen Mcquiston
New Waterford December 23, 2004 -Robert Allen McQuiston, age 90, of 45832 High Street died at 6:00 a.m. Thursday in the Essex of Salem.
He was born Feb. 23, 1914 in East Fairfield, son of William and Marie Jenkins McQuiston and had lived in the area East Fairfield-New Waterford all of his life.
Mr. McQuiston had been employed at the former National Rubber Machinery Corporation for 40+ years, retiring as foreman.
He was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.
Mr. McQuiston served in the Civilian Conservation Corps 1933 thru 1935 and in the Asiatic-Pacific Area in the Navy during WW II. He was a member the York Drexler Post #5532 VFW at Washingtonville
His wife, Dorothy Marie Dickey whom he married February 17, 1940; a son, William McQuiston of North East, MD; and two grandchildren survive him.
A brother, Eugene McQuiston and a sister, Helen Smith preceded him in death
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana the Rev. Mitchael Hennessey officiating. Burial will follow in the Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
