Robert E Mclaughlin, Sr.

Columbiana – Robert E. McLaughlin, Sr. 89, of Columbiana, died Friday, July 12, 2024.

He was a son of the late Andrew B. and Edna Marie Horne McLaughlin Sr.

Robert served proudly in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.  Following his honorable discharge, Robert had a long career with the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company.  He was a member and Past Master of Allen Lodge #276 F.&A.M. and the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion where he played trumpet with the Legion Honor Guard.  He also played trumpet with the Canfield and Cortland Community Bands.

Robert is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Lytle, Jennifer Bonish and Kristy Dozier; a son, Robert E. McLaughlin, Jr. and several grandchildren.  Robert was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers.

There will be no services and private interment will take place in Columbiana Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, OH.
