Minerva-Robert Clifton Haines, 82, of 9274 Rochester Road, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mr. Haines was born July 13, 1928 in Knob Fork, WV, a son of the late Forest C. and Berta Cross Haines. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He had been employed at the Ray Molder Carrier Corp. as a truck driver for 23 years, retiring in 1992.
Robert is survived by his wife, the former, Shirley A. Kellner, whom he married December 23, 1989; two sons, James F. Haines of Canton and Robert F. Haines of Brownsburg, IN; two step daughters, Shelly Williams of Hartville and Arlene Burger of VA; two step sons, Keith Stokes of Greenford and Steven Stokes of East Palestine; a sister, Doris Baggot of Bellaire; a brother, Samuel J. Haines of Summerville, SC; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A daughter, Patricia A. DiMinno and two sisters, Marjorie Widgren and Wilma Williams preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home
